On September 24, 1997, IVY Biomedical and Masimo Corporation announced a licensing agreement under which the companies will work together to develop a new pulse oximeter that will utilize Masimo's proprietary signal processing and sensor technologies, and to incorporate this technology into other IVY patient monitors.
IVY Biomedical is a well-established, leading designer and manufacturer of patient monitoring systems sold worldwide via leading corporate OEM partners, and will be integrating Masimo Signal Extraction Technology (Masimo SET®) to strengthen its pulse oximetry monitoring capability. IVY will be introducing several products incorporating the Masimo SET technology. These include a stand alone pulse oximeter, the model 2000, and the popular portable multi-function monitor, the 405T. IVY is already shipping it's multi-function bedside patient monitor, model 405D, with Masimo SET to a leading International OEM partner in Europe.
